There are many impressive excursion destinations for the whole family that are well worth a visit. We have put together a selection.
The Krimml Waterfalls offer a fascinating spectacle on cold winter days, especially when they are bathed in bright light in the evening. Every Wednesday, a torchlight hike leads from Krimml to the foot of the waterfalls. Another special experience is wildlife watching with show feeding in the Habachtal valley. You can experience the alpine world of the Hohe Tauern National Park in various stations and a 360° cinema in the National Park Worlds in Mittersill. But a visit to the world-famous Mozart city of Salzburg with its many sights is also recommended at any time of year. A treat for water sports enthusiasts is a visit to the Kristallbades Wald or the Hallenbad in Mittersill.
